Your experience can be shaped around your group size, available time, confidence level and preferred pace.
Our Yamaha VX jet skis can carry up to three people, subject to a combined maximum weight of 190 kg and suitable passenger configuration. You can also add optional extras such as a sea biscuit, fishing equipment, or a photo and video package to personalise your time on the water.
The hirer and every jet ski driver must be at least 16 years old. There is no minimum age for passengers.

Customised Jet Ski Itinerary Options
Every customised jet ski experience is different. These popular itinerary ideas show what may be possible depending on your available time, interests, riding confidence and the day’s conditions.
Short Scenic Ride (30–60 minutes)
Enjoy a fun self-drive ride along the coastline of the Whangaparāoa Peninsula. Ideal for first-time riders or anyone short on time, this option offers beautiful coastal scenery and a great introduction to Jet Skiing on the Hauraki Gulf.
Extended Explorer (60–90 minutes)
Travel farther along the coast or towards nearby destinations such as Waiwera and the waters surrounding Tiritiri Matangi. This option allows more time for scenic cruising, photo stops, rider changes and exploring at a comfortable pace.
Island & Fishing Experiences (2–6 hours)
Longer hires provide more freedom to explore the Hauraki Gulf, enjoy a jet ski fishing experience or follow an extended self-led route. Depending on weather and sea conditions, recommended routes may include nearby islands, sheltered bays and destinations in the waters around Tiritiri Matangi or Kawau Island, with time to pause and enjoy the scenery along the way.
Optional fishing equipment can be added for riders wanting to include fishing as part of their experience.
Recommended routes and timing are confirmed on the day according to weather, sea conditions and rider experience, helping you enjoy the safest and most rewarding outing possible.

Customised JetSki Experience Meeting Point
Directions
All customised jet ski experiences depart from Big Manly Beach on the Whangaparāoa Peninsula, approximately 40 minutes north of Auckland’s CBD.
Our team will meet you at the launch area, where you’ll receive a full safety briefing and be fitted with life jackets before heading out on the water. Big Manly Beach offers easy access to the Hauraki Gulf and calm launching conditions.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled start time.

Do I need a licence to book a customised experience?
No boating or jet ski licence is required. Before departure our experienced team provides a full safety briefing and practical operating instructions. You will also have real-time GPS tracking with remote support throughout your self-drive experience.
